Over the years, I’ve sat through everything from the Hoffman Process and Psychological Counseling Services to TM retreats, group relations conferences, and YPO forums. I’ve experienced couples workshops that healed, executive offsites that transformed, and psychedelic journeys that revealed more than any spreadsheet ever could. What I learned in all of them is simple: the environment determines how deep people can go.
Lighting affects honesty. Acoustics influence trust. The placement of a chair can decide whether someone shares or shuts down. So when we designed Assemble Boise—a purpose-built retreat venue for small teams and facilitators—we obsessed over every sensory detail.
Built for Small Teams, Not Big Conferences
Most hotels are designed for scale. Most Airbnbs are designed for leisure. Assemble Boise was designed for connection.
Each of our 11 executive studios has its own ensuite bathroom, sitting nook, and workspace. The walls are engineered to STC-60, which means real privacy—no echoes, no awkwardness, just quiet. Meeting rooms double as dining spaces so teams can shift easily from strategy to conversation. And outdoors, a full kitchen, dining table, and lounge make the patio feel like a second living room.
Even the neighborhood matters. We chose Boise’s North End because it feels tucked away but still close to everything—five minutes to downtown, ten to the airport, five to the foothills. Teams can go from whiteboard to mountain bike trail in minutes.
Spaces That Help Work Happen
Our goal wasn’t just beauty—it was usability. The dining-boardroom seats 12 and includes a 65” display on a motorized arm with surround sound. Another lounge room features whiteboard walls and flexible seating for workshops or coaching sessions.
Then there’s the wellness circuit: a cedar sauna, 13-person hot tub, and cold plunge tub. Because offsites that include recovery always produce sharper thinking and stronger teams.
We built Assemble Boise as a vessel for facilitators, coaches, and team leads who already know how to create meaningful experiences—but need a setting that actually supports it.
